Notification of a new NH State Law from Hodges:
As you may be aware, House Bill 1484 was signed into state law on May 20, 2018. This law directly applies to all Manufactured Housing Parks in the state of NH which includes Cooperatives. The law provides that a late fee for rental payments may only be charged for accounts that are not paid in full within 7 calendar days of the due date. This becomes effective 7/24/18.
Therefore, effective 8/1/18, we will be changing our accounting policy to add the late charge/disallowed discount for your Cooperative if payment is not postmarked/received within 7 calendar days after the established due date.
Dear Community Water Systems,
Conditions are dry across the state, and the drought outlook is not positive. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor that was released today, the entire state has been categorized as abnormally dry. The 3-Month Seasonal Drought Outlook, also released today, predicts that drought development is likely. Over the last sixty days, the majority of the state received approximately 50% of expected precipitation.
NHDES is advising community water systems to begin promoting water use restrictions and is requesting that restrictions be reported to NHDES at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/322ZQG2 for posting on the NHDES website. NHDES sent a press release urging the public to be conservation minded and to begin limiting outdoor water use, including refraining from landscape watering and limiting any watering to between 7pm and 8am. Also, NHDES is recommending residents suspend other outdoor water uses, including power washing, washing cars, and washing down large surfaces such as driveways and sidewalks. https://www.des.nh.gov/media/pr/2018/20180621-drought.htm
Thank you for your cooperation to this matter.
